Training Philosophy:

By rewarding the behavior that you like, you can mold your dog into an acceptable family member.   ALL dogs can learn if you find the right motivation!  Make yourself the leader of the pack by controlling the rewards that your dog can earn, and using those rewards to teach them good behavior.

Christine’s passion is working with dogs with behavioral issues.  She teaches the owner how to manage their dog’s current behavior, while learning to recognize and reward ‘good behavior’.  In this way, the owners learn to stop focusing on how to stop the ‘bad’ behavior, which in turn lowers the tension level of owners when they are working with their dogs.  This makes the training process more enjoyable for both dog and owner!

Christine will teach you how to make training fun for you AND you dog!

*CGC:  The AKC's Canine Good Citizen Program is a certification program that recognizes dogs who have basic good manners,  both at home and when out in public.  The certification can be earned by any dog - purebred or mixed breed - that passes the CGC test.  For more information and testing requirements, visit the AKC website:  http://www.akc.org

*TDI: Once a dog has passed the AKC's Canine Good Citizen test, the dog and handler must pass the additional requirements set forth by Therapy Dogs International to determine their suitability as a Therapy Dog team.  Those who pass the test are eligible for registration with TDI.  Therapy Dog teams work as volunteers, visiting patients in care facilities such as nursing homes and hospitals, and anywhere else Therapy Dogs are needed.  For more information and testing requirements, visit the TDI website http://www.tdi-dog.org
